Database Alert
by Hongjie Wang, MLS, MA
Head, Information & Education Services

This August, MICROMEDEX will change the name of EMERGINDEX to DISEASEDEX Emergency Medicine, as part of an ongoing effort to expand their comprehensive information for healthcare professionals under the DISEASEDEX suite of products. The content, features, and functionality, however, will remain exactly the same.

This clinical decision support database is available on the UCHC intranet. To access it, please go to:
http://micromedex.uchc.edu/mdxdocs/mdxhome.html

The MICROMEDEX® system is updated every three months. What makes Micromedex unique is that it ties drug monographs directly to the literature, i.e. it ties each statement to the evidence that supports it. The information is peer reviewed by a panel of experts in that particular field.

If you have any questions, please call Hongjie Wang at 679-4053
