Coming this fall …… LinkFinder Plus

As our library provides access to an increasingly large number of electronic journals, the demand for an advanced Linking software is growing. When we speak of linking today, we are talking about linking to full-text journal articles from citations, abstracts, or other full-text articles. The current information retrieval environment often requires users to take many illogical and tedious steps to try to access information. Getting to the right resource can be complicated since articles may be available from multiple sources.

To provide our users seamless and efficient ways of retrieving electronic information, the library has purchased the linking software LinkFinder Plus from Endeavor Information Systems. The system is designed to provide a bridge between the citation and corresponding full text. With LinkFinder Plus, no more multi-step, multi-platform job to find the full-text information. With one click to the icon from an abstract, the article is retrieved.
