Dental Resource Guide from Healthnet

A new Internet Resource Guide, “Your Dental Health: a Guide for
Patients and Families” is now available on the website of Healthnet:Connecticut
Consumer Health Information Network at http://library.uchc.edu/departm/hnet
. It was created to assist health consumers seeking information on dental
health and dental problems.
The Resource Guide includes direct hyperlinks and descriptions of recommended books, organizations, and websites on several dental health topics including children’s dental health, cosmetic dentistry, implants, insurance, finding a dentist, dental research news, dental surgery, medications, and nutrition for good dental health. Links to the websites of professional associations such as the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Connecticut State Dental Association are part of the Resource Guide.
The Resource Guide was compiled by Healthnet:Connecticut Consumer Health Information Network, a program of the Lyman Maynard Stowe Library at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Additional Resource Guides are available on the Healthnet website. Among them are Guides to Navigating the Health Care System, Mental Health Resources, Patient Advocacy, and Growing Older.
Healthnet also provides a free library research service to Connecticut residents with questions about their health or the health of family members.
